Questions
Is this Wallpaper Engine for Mac?
No. Wallpaper Engine is a separate Windows app and it doesn't have a Mac version. Hazewall is its own app, written for macOS, and isn't connected to it. It can't open Wallpaper Engine's files.
Will it drain my battery?
It pauses on battery by default, and whenever it's covered. If you turn that off, video playback will use some power, like any video would.
Does it work on the lock screen?
Not yet. Hazewall runs on the desktop, under your icons. On the lock screen you'll see your normal wallpaper.
What do I need?
A Mac with Apple silicon on macOS 14 or later. Each wallpaper is about 25 MB and only downloads when you choose it.
Where do the wallpapers come from?
We make them with generative video tools, then upscale and finish them ourselves. They aren't clips from films, games or anyone else's work.
Do I need an account?
No. Download it and go. You get your key straight after you buy, and it's checked on your Mac.
What if I don't like it?
The trial is free and needs no card. If you buy and change your mind within 14 days, email us and we'll refund you. This doesn't limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
